Beantown

So why is it called Beantown? Well, according to a couple different websites Boston had tons of beans, because they´re cheap and easy to grow, store and cook. Boston had tons of molasses because of trade. Sugar and Molasses were brought in by the shipload from the West Indies, to be sold in Boston in exchange for rum and other local goods. So someone had the idea of putting beans and molasses together, and voila!

Beantown is quickly feeling more like home for both of us, and we owe a lot of thanks to the wonderful families at Redemption Hill Church. During the summer of 2010 a core team from North Carolina moved up here to start Redemption Hill Church in Medford, MA. We got connected with this church through Crosspoint Church in Clemson. Please follow their blog and pray for the core team and us as we spread the love of Jesus in Boston!

For those that might visit here are some fun things we have enjoyed doing!
